Loads of Crystal Palace fans have been lauding Jairo Riedewald for his performance against Arsenal as the Eagles managed to secure a 1-1 draw.
Roy Hodgson’s men found themselves 1-0 down in the 12th minute after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was later sent off following a VAR review, found the back of the net. Jordan Ayew equalised for the home side in the second half with the help of a massive deflection from David Luiz.
Since then, Riedewald has come in for huge praise, with Palace’s official Twitter account highlighting just some of his brilliant stats from the game. According to them, the 23-year-old completed three tackles, won two interceptions and made four clearances. Without a doubt, it was a strong defensive display.
The Eagles as a whole have been solid this season, conceding just 24 goals in 22 games. If they can maintain this level of solidity at the back, then the ninth-placed side have a good chance of finishing the campaign in the top half of the table.
