Some Crystal Palace fans have made it clear that they do not want the club to sign Cenk Tosun on loan this month.
According to Turkish journalist Gokmen Ozcan, the Everton striker is close to joining the south London outfit until the end of the season, a development that has disappointed a portion of the Palace fanbase.

This is not the first time Palace have been linked with Tosun, with the Eagles previously chasing his signature back in 2018. However, the 28-year-old rejected their advances and instead opted for Everton.
Following his move from Besiktas to Goodison Park, Tosun told TRT Spor (via Goal): “Crystal Palace wanted to sign me during the first phase of the season but it couldn’t happen. I’m glad it didn’t because I now play for a bigger club in the Premier League.” Scanning through Twitter, it is clear that some Palace fans have not forgotten those words.
His comments might not be the only thing they take issue with, either. Winning just 1.2 aerial duels per game in the Premier League this season, which is less than Christian Benteke’s 4.4 and Jordan Ayew’s 3.2 (via WhoScored), one could question if he has it in him to be that focal point in Roy Hodgson’s side.
As well as Tosun, the Eagles are also said to be interested in CSKA Moscow’s Fyodor Chalov.
