Plenty of Crystal Palace fans are open to the idea of selling Mamadou Sakho this month, with the Frenchman attracting interest from abroad.
Fanatik (via HITC) reports that Trabzonspor are exploring the possibility of bringing Sakho to Turkey as they look to bolster their squad. He is currently out injured, but that is largely the reason why some have no problem with him leaving Selhurst Park before the transfer window shuts.
Sakho has been plagued by injury since joining from Liverpool. A thigh injury has him sidelined now, while in the past meniscal, calf and ligament problems have all caused him trouble (via Transfermarkt). That is a shame because when Sakho is fit, he has the ability to deliver.
This season, he has made 1.4 interceptions per game in the Premier League (via WhoScored), more than any other Palace central defender. When it comes to reading and stopping danger, Sakho quite clearly has his use.
Not being able to rely on that consistently, though, some Palace fans have made it clear that now could be the time to part ways.
Take a look below…
Take him. He's injured more than he is fit to play.
Would be a great player otherwise. Shame

They can have him, such a player but injured to often. Never got value for him

Sell, would reduce wage bill, we have sufficient cover at CB

Sell. He’s on high wages and spends more time on the treatment table than on the pitch. His stock will only go down each season.

sell

For £20m, unfortunately, I’d let him go. But it’d be such a massive shame, and the only reason I’m saying that is because of injuries.
