A lot of Crystal Palace fans can’t get over how good forward Jordan Ayew has been this season, and his importance for the Eagles was highlighted by a club tweet showing how crucial his goals have been.
His eight strikes have all been in wins or draws and they have given Crystal Palace 17 points this season (Transfermarkt).
With Christian Benteke not as prolific as he once used to be, netting just once in 20 league outings this term (Transfermarkt), and Ayew the only attacking signing in the summer for £2.5 million (BBC Sport), fans may have worried about where goals were going to come from after he only scored one goal in the Premier League whilst on loan at the Eagles last season (Transfermarkt).
However the forward has been something of a revelation, and Palace would have definitely been much closer to the relegation dogfight if it were not for the Ghanaian forward.
He has also been playing out of position as a right-winger since Benteke has been back in the side, but it has not stopped him contributing with goals, and he is on track to score ten or more goals this season, which would be a great achievement.
