A number of Crystal Palace fans were delighted with what they saw from Patrick Van Aanholt despite witnessing their side be beaten by Sheffield United.
Roy Hodgson’s men were on the wrong end of a 1-0 result at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon after Vicente Guaita’s remarkable own goal.
The loss means Palace are now on a six-game winless streak in the Premier League and, perhaps, leaves them teetering in a precarious position in England’s top-flight.
Despite the defeat, a number of the club’s faithful still managed to find some positives out of what would have been a rather disappointing result.
As mentioned, Van Aanholt was one individual that came in for some praise from a number of the Eagles’ fanbase on Twitter with some suggesting that he was one of the best players on the pitch.
Some even stated that they felt talisman Wilfried Zaha was playing even better with the Dutchman being back in the side and were pleased to see him.
