Crystal Palace: Fans rage at Vicente Guaita during Tottenham encounter

Many Crystal Palace fans raged at goalkeeper Vicente Guaita after his actions for Tottenham’s opening goal during their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park.

The 33-year-old made a series of good saves during the first-half but found himself outwitted by Harry Kane’s long-range effort, which the Spaniard could only parry into his own net.

Guaita, who earns £60k-per-week for the South London club, had only kept one clean sheet from 11 appearances in the Premier League before today’s game and has now conceded 17 goals for the Eagles (TransferMarkt).

It was a game that Palace had to get something out of, that could have pushed Roy Hodgson’s side into the top 10 in the standings.

Unsurprisingly, supporters were not impressed with Guaita, who they thought should have done a lot better from Kane’s effort.
