A lot of Crystal Palace fans clearly have a lot of time and respect for Dougie Freedman after they flooded to a club post wishing him a happy birthday to praise his playing career whilst at the club.
As a player, he is easily considered a club legend, as he is part of a very elite group of players who netted over 100 goals for the club and is the Eagles’ sixth all-time goal scorer with 108 strikes from 368 games, according to Holmesdale.net.
This is a great tally for any striker to achieve at any club, and he is clearly appreciated for his great service to the side. Indeed, he now has a role at the club as Sporting Director, so clearly his small period in charge where he led the squad into a promotion fight before bizarrely leaving for Bolton back in 2012, per Transfermarkt, has not ruined his reputation at Selhurst Park.
