Crystal Palace have rejected a loan bid from Bayern Munich for winger Wilfried Zaha, that is according to a report from The Guardian.
Zaha’s agent Pini Zahavi reportedly held talks with the German giants who then offered to take the Eagles man on a temporary deal until the end of the season before making it a permanent transfer.
But Palace immediately said no as they are not prepared to lose their star man for less than £80 million.
Whilst he hasn’t been at his best this season, contributing just three goals and three assists in the Premier League this season (Transfermarkt), he remains a key player at Selhurst Park and Roy Hodgson will certainly not want to lose him.
After seeing that Bayern had tried to get the Ivory Coast international on loan, several Palace fans have been reacting on social media and they cannot believe that such an offer was made.
Here is what some had to say on Twitter…

What could possibly have led Bayern Munich to think that Palace would even consider allowing Zaha to leave on loan? He’s our best player and most valuable asset, there would be absolutely no upside to the club letting it happen.
