Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the news that the club are interested in defender Falaye Sacko and it looks like a move that could happen this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Palace, as well as fellow Premier League side West Ham have already contacted Sacko’s advisors Spartacus Management regarding a move to London.
The right-back has made 21 appearances for Portuguese side Guimaraes this term, including in the Europa League, and has made an average of 2 tackles per game, as well as 1.3 key passes a game, per WhoScored.
It looks like Sacko is a good tackler who can also provide an attacking threat, and the 25 year-old could be an ideal replacement for the Eagles’ only current right-back Joel Ward, who is now 30 and is closing in on the last few seasons of his career.
It is good that Palace are finally looking towards replacing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, even if it is after a whole season after he has gone, but the Eagles have been lucky that Ward has maintained consistent performances after regaining his first team place to Wan-Bissaka.
Here is what fans think of the news, with some pointing out that they are yet again going head-to-head with West Ham for a player. Indeed back in January the two famously faced off for the signature of Jarrod Bowen.

I’d rather shift another CB before bringing him in. Would like to knock Woods & Rich-Baghuelou up the pecking order as much as possible https://t.co/U6k3eEaxfA
