Many Crystal Palace fans have reacted on Twitter as the Eagles announced that former player and U23s coach Richard Shaw will be leaving the club.

The 51-year-old – who started his career at Selhurst Park in 1986 – has been at the club coaching since 2013, where he started at the U16s before moving to the U23s.
The club website says that Shaw is leaving to pursue other opportunities within coaching.
The U23s have been struggling in their respected division, with Shaw missing from the dugout as his side lost 2-1 to Charlton last week.
Fellow former player Shaun Derry took charge in his absence.
On a more positive note, he had previously taken the U23s to the Professional Development League Two (South) title in 2018.
Shaw has played over 200 games for the red and blue between ’86 and ’95, and he was also notable for the role he played in Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s development (as noted by Football.London), having coached him at both U16 and U23 level before he made the step up to the first-team.
