Many Crystal Palace fans are raving over the reports suggesting that the South London side are tracking Marseille’s Jordan Amavi.
The Daily Mail are reporting, via @cpfc_xtra, that he could be seen as a potential replacement for left-back Patrick Van Aanholt, who is out of contract in the summer. The report also sees Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso linked.
The 26-year-old has made 11 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit this season, including three Champions League appearances (WhoScored). He has impressed, averaging 1.8 tackles, 3.1 interceptions and 2.7 clearances a match. He also has some experience in England, making 48 appearances for Aston Villa from 2015-2017 (Transfermarkt).
The player has an abundance of experience, is at a decent age and has performed very well defensively this campaign. With all this in mind, it is clear to see why many Palace fans are excited over the possibility of the Frenchman joining the Eagles if Van Aanholt was to leave.
