Some Crystal Palace fans have celebrated the return of Mamadou Sakho as he started for the U23s today against Colchester United.
Sakho was normally one of the first names on the teamsheet last year but the defender has only featured for the first team 8 times this season due to various injuries (Transfermarkt). The last game he featured in was the 1-1 fixture away at Norwich on the 1st January, where he had to be substituted at half-time due to a thigh strain and has been injured since.
Gary Cahill received the Man of the Match award against Brighton and Scott Dann is reminding Palace fans of the quality he has considering he’s scored over 7/10 on WhoScored over the last two games, though a younger defender with pace like Sakho provides another option.
