Crystal Palace have had 25 year-old defender Ryan Inniss at the club since 2013. He came from the academy and when this happens many would hope that the player would become a key player for the club.
However it hasn’t worked out too well for him at the South London side, and the latest news suggests he could be leaving the club before the transfer window shuts.
According to a report from Football Insider, and tweeted out by @cpfc_xtra, the defender is in talks to join League One side Charlton Athletic on a permanent deal ahead of Friday’s domestic transfer deadline.

Inniss has only ever managed two first team appearances for the Eagles, and has been shipped out on loan ten times, per Transfermarkt.
He has numerous experiences in the EFL, as the centre-back has played 121 times throughout his career, and a move to the League One side would definitely seem to benefit all parties.
Here is how Palace fans reacted following the transfer update:

Let’s be honest, he’s never going to get into our first team. Wish him all the best 💪🏻

He deserves a break, he’s a good player.

The fact that he managed to stay at the club till he’s 25 is a madness
It’s been clear for a while now that he wasn’t going to make the first team, think this suits everyone https://t.co/MgoFlvTidv
