A lot of Crystal Palace fans have expressed their joy as the South London club has announced that they will go on a pre-season tour to Australia for the first time.
The Eagles will take on Brisbane Roar and fellow Premier League side West Ham in the state of Queensland, Australia. They will play the former on the 11th July before taking on the Hammers in Brisbane on Saturday 18th July (Crystal Palace).
Brisbane are currently 6th in the A-League and are managed by former Liverpool and England striker Robbie Fowler. The matches will see them compete for the EVA Air Queensland Champions Cup.
Crystal Palace do not have any Australians currently in their squad, the last was former club captain and legend of the club Mile Jedinak who was pivotal to both Palace’s promotion in 2013 and surviving in the Premier League until 2016.
