Loads of Crystal Palace fans have responded negatively to the news that their club have signed Scott Banks from Dundee United.
The Eagles recently confirmed on Twitter that the 18-year-old had joined from the Scottish side on a three-year deal, opening the floodgates. The negativity from supporters, however, also stems from other factors rather than just solely Banks’ arrival, which is understandable.
For example, some questioned why an attacking midfielder has been brought in when the club have yet to sign a right-back. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who was Roy Hodgson’s first choice in the position in the campaign prior, left for Manchester United last summer and has still not been replaced by a new addition.
The likes of Martin Kelly and Joel Ward have been filling in (as per WhoScored), but it is clear some fans would like to see a fresh face there. So with little movement in that regard, you can understand the frustration.
