Many Crystal Palace fans have shared their reactions after seeing two club legends have a chat via the club’s YouTube.
Anyone who has been a Crystal Palace fan since 2009 will know the sheer importance of both of these players to the club. Darren Ambrose famously scored the all-important goal against Sheffield Wednesday to keep Palace up and potentially save them from extinction; Wilfried Zaha is now Palace’s all-time top Premier League goalscorer and was vital in getting them there in the first place.
Has Jordan Ayew surprised you this season?
Yes
No
The two also famously linked up for Ambrose’s wonderstrike against Manchester United in the League Cup quarter-final in 2011; Zaha assisted Ambrose for probably his greatest goal in a Palace shirt, and boy, were there many.
In the interview, Ambrose asks Zaha a series of questions about their time together when they were younger, about Dougie Freedman, about his move to and from Manchester United and even his ambitions for the season. You can watch the full interview on their YouTube, here.
Unsurprisingly, two modern-day club greats having a chat about old times was enough to get the Palace fans excited, as you can see below…
