Many Crystal Palace fans have given a mixed response to the news that Mamadou Sakho is back in training.
The defender, valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, has been out for most of the season, only making two starts this season and coming on in one game.

Despite this, Palace have had a decent time defensively, keeping three Premier League clean sheets thus far, giving Roy Hodgson some big decisions to make regarding his backline.
With Gary Cahill, James Tomkins, Martin Kelly and Scott Dann all joining Sakho at Palace in the centre-back department, having to pick just two of them is a lovely situation for Hodgson to be in.
So much so that many of the Palace fans are not even sure that Mamadou Sakho – the club’s second most expensive player – should be making the first-team.
Many fans responded to the tweet with a varied set of opinions. One fan joked he will be back in the treatment room by Christmas, while others suggested they would be shocked to see him reinstated in the first-team unless injuries occur.
