Crystal Palace fans have given their opinions on Twitter to speculation that Scott Dann might be departing the club.
The 32-year-old centre-half has played at Crystal Palace since summer 2014, racking up 134 league appearances in red and blue, according to Soccerbase.
According to The Sun (August 11, page 59 – via HITC), Burnley are set to renew their interest in the centre-half, who played in Palace’s opener versus Everton on the weekend, in which he played an instrumental part in Palace keeping a clean sheet in their 0-0 draw.
Burnley are already planning to renew their interest in Crystal Palace centre-back Scott Dann in January.
They lined up a £6 million move on deadline day, but nothing materialised.

It was suggested that Dann’s five-year spell at the club was coming to an end recently, with Burnley reportedly showing interest in a £6m deal for the Liverpudlian, per the previous report. However, the claret and blue couldn’t get a deal sorted.
The report goes on to say that Burnley have not given up hope on a deal yet, and still want to add the centre-back to their defensive ranks.
With the club managing to keep James Tarkowski and Kevin Long around this summer, Ben Gibson and Ben Mee are the only other central defenders available to Burnley. However, if Palace sold Dann that would also bring them down to four first-team centre-backs, with the club currently having Mamadou Sakho, Gary Cahill, James Tomkins and Martin Kelly at their disposal, and Jairo Riedewald is also comfortable in that position.
Even though Dann has been somewhat of a modern icon at Selhurst Park, a string of recent injuries and ageing legs has meant he’s slipped down the pecking order at Palace, thus making fans not mind his departure.
There’s been a varied response, with many fans saying £6m is a great deal for Palace, while a few others say that they need the cover.

£6m is fair and also would be another player to get off the wages. If they come again in January, we should take it.
