Many Crystal Palace fans have given their response to the news that Andros Townsend’s wonder strike has been nominated for the Puskas Award.
Townsend’s scorcher versus Manchester City was a 30-yard screamer that helped Palace win the game 3-2, which put Liverpool in the ascendancy for the Premier League as City dropped four points behind.
Townsend is part of a 10-strong shortlist which also includes Matheus Cunha, Juan Fernando Quintero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lionel Messi, Ajara Nchout, Fabio Quagliarella, Amy Rodriguez, Billie Simpson and Daniel Zsori.

Lots of Palace fans have given their responses on Twitter, though, in all honesty, many of them aren’t about Andros Townsend’s goal; more about Palace trying to score a goal now.
