Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the latest update on whether Belgium striker Christian Benteke will be staying with the South London side.
According to Football Insider and tweeted out by @cpfc_xtra, West Ham are believed to hold an interest in signing Benteke. However, he has no interest in the move and has no intention to leave the Eagles during the January transfer window.
The current campaign has been a much better one for the 30 year-old in comparison to the last couple of seasons. He has scored three goals in 13 Premier League appearances. In contrast, across the 2018/19 and the 2019/20 seasons, Benteke only managed three goals in 44 appearances (Transfermarkt).
He has started to win back a lot of the fan base and also Roy Hodgson, who used him as a bench player at the start of the season. However, his contract expires in the summer, so January is the last time the club can get some money from the £8.1m valued ace unless they extend his deal.
