Crystal Palace have been talking about a possible redevelopment of Selhurst Park for quite a while now. However, news on this front went quiet, especially due to recent events.
There has now been an update as Croydon Council are planning a meeting on Thursday and on the agenda is the proposed new Main Stand at Selhurst Park.
Some Palace fans have read into the details of this meeting with the owners of the @Cpfc_xtra account relaying some information from the site. It says: “The application, along with Appendix 1, has been referred to the GLA under Stage 2. The Mayor has confirmed the scheme is acceptable and that planning permission can be granted. Subsequent to this item being reported tonight, planning permission will be granted.”
This is a very exciting update as it looks like the club can now get underway with their redevelopment. A lot of fans are clearly very excited over this news, with one saying it ‘Will be the most significant moment of the 2010 reign since promotion’
