Crystal Palace: Fans drool over Jason Puncheon following throwback tweet

A lot of Crystal Palace fans are reminiscing about a crucial victory which saw them beat Norwich City 1-0 back in April 2016 after a post from the club on Twitter.

The only goal was a spectacular effort from 20 yards out by Jason Puncheon and it earned the Eagles their first win that season since December 19th and moved them ten points clear of relegation, via BBC Sport.

Incidentally, their victory back on December 19th in 2015 was courtesy of a Lee Chung-Yong screamer and moved the club to sixth in the Premier League at the time, via BBC Sport. But their lack of wins between then and April saw them slump down the table.

It was a whirlwind campaign under Alan Pardew, as during all of this the Eagles also reached an FA Cup final, via Transfermarkt. But fans were quick to remember how crucial Puncheon was for the club in his prime, after all goals like the one he scored against Norwich are a big reason for the club still being in the top division.
