Some Crystal Palace fans are resigned to missing out on Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco this transfer window.
The south London club are interested in signing the 26-year-old before the transfer windows closes but, according to Dominic Fifield of The Athletic, negotiations to bring him to Selhurst Park have been complicated. Supporters now fear missing out on a player who could bring much to Roy Hodgson’s side.
Down the years, Carrasco has proven himself to be a very accomplished dribbler. In the most recent Chinese Super League season, the Belgium international averaged 3.7 dribbles per game (via WhoScored). Meanwhile, during his final La Liga campaign with Atletico Madrid (2017/18), he managed 2.1. Not as impressive as his average in China but, bar Wilfried Zaha (five), no Palace player has produced more dribbles per league game this season.
Furthermore, Carrasco looks like a player who could make the Eagles more threatening out wide. However, for some supporters, a deal does not look likely. Take a look at what they have had to say below…

It was mentioned that Dalian is a difficult club to deal with, scenes if it gets completed but I don’t think it’s very likely. Much like the Piatek rumours. Focus on a RB and as long as we keep all current players we will manage to end of the season

This development comes as a surprise to absolutely no one, anywhere, ever.

Maybe instead of wasting Time on a player it’s very unlikely we’ll get go after players we actually can get

So he’ll be at West Ham by Friday night.

We’ll have spent weeks trying to get this done and will end up with nobody coming in. https://t.co/qcgJvnFwv7
