Many Crystal Palace are fans have responded to a tweet from fan favourite Wilfried Zaha after he revealed he was ‘gutted’ after his side’s draw on Sunday.
The Eagles threw away a 1-0 lead over Wolverhampton Wanderers by conceding a goal in the 95th minute to only earn a point.
Wilfried Zaha had an impressive game for Palace, winning the foul which led to Romain Saiss’ second yellow card.
According to WhoScored, Zaha was Palace’s standout player throughout the match, earning a 6.96 rating from their algorithm – the best in the Palace squad.
Zaha is still yet to contribute a goal or assist this season despite featuring in all six matches for Palace, however, WhoScored still have him as the player with the best average match rating for those who have played at least two games (6.96).
After the game, Zaha tweeted out to fans to share his disappointment. He said: “Gutted after what was a wasted opportunity for 3 points. Another point but got to learn from it for next week”.
Despite Palace failing to take all three points versus Wolves, there were positive messages for Zaha, with many fans saying that he had a good match and one even saying that they can understand why he wants to leave the club. Other fans were less positive and were critical of Palace not being able to hold out, while others just had a go at Christian Benteke.
Here are some of the responses below…

Need to play into the corners, kill the game. Learn from it and move on.
