Crystal Palace faced up against Wolves at Molineux on Friday with a chance to go second in the league. The South London side put in a poor display however as they lost 2-0, and one player who a lot of fans are slating is Luka Milivojevic.
Roy Hodgson’s tactics of sitting back and allowing Wolves to dominate possession was their downfall as his side were two goals down in the first 30 minutes.
The 29 year-old central midfielder came back into the side last week following a James McArthur injury, and the manager backed him again against Wolves.
However, the Serbian highlighted why he has had to settle for a position on the bench as of late. He received a 6.7 rating and gave possession away ten times (SofaScore). One fan went so far as to call him a ‘liability’, such was his carelessness with the ball.
With the Eagles only playing with two midfielders, their central players needed to be at their best, and sadly for Palace, Milivojevic wasn’t. The captain then went and got himself sent off, furthering the frustration of the fans below.
