Many Crystal Palace fans have been reacting after seeing images of German midfielder Max Meyer in the gym facilities at the South London side’s training ground.
The attacking midfielder has found things difficult ever since making the move to South London. In his 56 appearances, he has only picked up two goals and three assists (Transfermarkt).
Hodgson praised the player in the past as he said: “Today I thought he was faultless in both attacking and defence. What he gives us is when he is in possession he is capable of finding that last pass and providing our forwards with a chance.”
Meyer made his international debut for Germany before he turned 20 and this seemingly led to many Palace supporters thinking he had bags of potential when he arrived. However, a mix of average performances and him simply not being selected by Roy Hodgson means that Meyer has not been able to even earn himself a place in the matchday squad on numerous occasions.
With his contract expiring in the summer, it looks like he could be leaving in the summer as he is clearly not fancied by the Palace manager.
