Many Crystal Palace fans have been left fuming that Ebere Eze has not won the January Goal of the Month with the Premier League awarding it to Mo Salah.
The former Chelsea and AS Roma man finished off a sweeping Liverpool move superbly away at West Ham United as his goal was rewarded by the Premier League.
Should Eze have won GOTM for Palace?
However, several members of the Selhurst Park faithful strongly thought that Eze should have won it instead after a quite phenomenal solo effort that started in his own half of the pitch to put Roy Hodgson’s team 2-0 up at home to Sheffield United.
While both goals were immaculate in their own way, it is very hard to compare the two as they are both so different, but many supporters of the South London club were not very happy when Salah was given the award over of their talisman.
Crystal Palace fan reaction to Eze omission
These Eagles fumed upon learning that Salah won the award instead of Eze, with one CPFC fan even going as far as to call it ‘daylight robbery’:
“If Salah has scored Eze’s goal then Salah would still have won. The bias is unreal”
“Daylight robbery! If anyone from Liverpool or Man City did what Eze did v Sheffield United not doubt they win it”
“I guess Ebere Eze plays rugby then? The bias in this league is unreal”
