Crystal Palace: Fans react as Luka Milivojevic has tested positive for COVID-19

Share

Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the news that they will be without midfielder and club captain Luka Milivojevic for the next couple of weeks.

Milivojevic has tested positive for Covid-19 whilst on international duty with Serbia. As a result, he will remain in self-isolation in Serbia in accordance with current laws. He is currently well and asymptomatic.

The Serbian has only been starting this season when other players have been unavailable but squad depth is key. However, due to the red card he received against Wolves, the player was still due to miss the games against Burnley and Newcastle due to his suspension.

What has disgruntled many Palace fans is the fact that there are international breaks at all given what is going on in the world. It makes it more likely for the players to fall ill or get injured, and the last international break saw Jordan Ayew miss some fixtures due to testing positive.
