Many Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to the performance of midfielder Jairo Riedewald following their side’s Premier League match against rivals Brighton & Hove Albion.
The midfielder completed 96% of his passes and picked up a 6.8 rating, per SofaScore. The stats show the excellent all-round performance he had as he completed his only dribble attempt. The Dutchman also won four ground duels, made four clearances, and blocked one shot, as well as making one interception and two tackles.
It is easy to see why the Palace faithful have been so quick to praise the midfielder and he showed, once again, why Roy Hodgson once called him a ‘superb professional’.
In the end, the game finished 1-1, and the South London club were probably lucky that the Seagulls only equalised late on as Hodgson’s side only had one shot on target the whole match.
The draw means the Eagles now sit 12th on seven points, and are six points away from the relegation zone.
