Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to a Twitter post from The Athletic’s Eagles correspondent Matt Woosnam.

The Athletic ran a story on Friday, highlighting just how much Leeds United run compared to the 19 other Premier League sides.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are on a different level when it comes to sprint distance and the average amount of sprints, however, Palace are bottom of the charts when it comes to those respective tables.

Palace have comfortably been the worst side in the division for running output, with Roy Hodgson leading the club.

He’ll leave at the end of the season, though, and Palace look set for a summer rebuild, with 12 players out of contract in a matter of weeks.

Palace fans react

In fact, Palace were so far down they were nowhere to be seen on the initial sprinting table, but Woosnam relayed an amended version on Twitter on Friday morning.

These Eagles fans wish he didn’t, though, with one describing Palace’s position as ‘pathetic’.
