Crystal Palace are lining up a move for Burnley manager Sean Dyche after making contact with him at the turn of the year.

That’s according to an exclusive report from Football Insider, which has led to numerous Palace supporters giving their reaction on social media.

A Palace source has informed Football Insider that discussions with the 49-year-old, who is keen on a new challenge, took place in January, with further talks between Dyche and the Eagles scheduled for the end of the season.

Should he take over from Roy Hodgson, he would have a sizeable transfer kitty to lead a Palace overhaul ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Burnley cannot offer Dyche that luxury, and he could end up leaving Turf Moor with a year left to run on his contract. Reports elsewhere have suggested that Palace will need to pay a £3.5m compensation fee to secure the 49-year-old.
