Crystal Palace: Fans react as video shows Nathaniel Clyne training at the club

Last week Crystal Palace announced that Nathaniel Clyne was training with them to get fully fit following his release from Liverpool.
The club have now provided an update via Twitter, stating that the right-back will train with the south London side for the rest of the month and it was supported by a video of him training with the Eagles’ squad.

Many Palace fans loved the footage as the defender, who has featured 14 times for England, came from the Palace academy and made his professional his debut in 2009, per Transfermarkt. He went on to feature at right-back for the Eagles 137 times before moving to Southampton and then Liverpool, per Transfermarkt.
Some fans are clamouring for the 29-year-old to be signed on a short-term contract and, with Joel Ward currently the only fit right-back at the club due to Nathan Ferguson’s injury, it is possibly a good idea to bring in the experienced defender, with 360 appearances throughout his career (per Transfermarkt) on a short-term deal.
Here is what these Crystal Palace fans said after seeing the footage of Clyne training with Roy Hodgson’s squad:
Give him a deal for the rest of the season, would be nice
