Crystal Palace: Palace fans are buzzing at potential Zaha replacement

Crystal Palace fans have responded on Twitter to rumours that Palace are lining up Ismaila Sarr as a direct replacement for Wilfried Zaha, 26.

The Eagles have allegedly joined the race for Watford target Ismaila Sarr, according to L’Equipe (via Get French Football News).

It is said that a deal was agreed between Watford and Rennes worth around £30m including add-ons on Tuesday, which would see the player earn around £75,000-per-week.

However, it is said that Rennes’ president Olivier Letang has now delayed the deal, wanting to squeeze a bit money out of Watford or by encouraging another club to get involved in the potential transfer.

Yesterday morning, Palace reportedly entered discussions to buy Sarr, however, the offer is believed to under the bid which Watford have made.

Ismaila Sarr, 21, would be a like-for-like replacement by Palace, with the forward having good finishing ability, as proven by scoring eight goals in Ligue 1 last year; pace and trickery, proven by his 1.8 dribbles averaged per match and versatility, proven by his ability to play across the front line.

With Wilfried Zaha, 26, handing in a transfer request at Crystal Palace, according to Sky Sports News, many Palace fans have accepted their fate and believe that they should allow the player to leave if they can get a replacement like Sarr, as the replies below suggest.
