As quoted by The London Evening Standard, Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha believes that his team will get out of their current run of poor form with our resident Eagles fans here in the Transfer Tavern getting increasingly anxious that they won’t.
The south London club lost again at the weekend to Burnley, their fourth straight loss, and have slipped to 16th, a point above the relegation zone, after being in the top half of the table at one point this season.
It’s alarming for our Palace fans here by the bar who remember their slump in form in the second half of the last campaign that would have seen them relegated had their first half not been so good and now they are worried time is up.
Zaha feels, though, that now is not the time to panic and that things will turn around at Selhurst Park.
“I have been in worse situations before, like last season when we did not win in ages, but we have to stick together”, said the 23-year-old.
”I know it does not look the best right now but I am sure we will get out of it. You can’t put your head down, you’ve just got to carry on going because no one else is going to do it for you. You have to keep plugging away.”
Palace will now have to wait until after the international break to try and get a long awaited three points against Manchester City.
