Crystal Palace: Fans react as Tyrick Mitchell attracts interest from Arsenal - Crystal Palace Transfer Rumours

Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the latest transfer news which suggests North London side Arsenal are interested in emerging academy star Tyrick Mitchell.

According to the Evening Standard and tweeted out by @cpfc_xtra, Arsenal are scouting a number of left-backs and are one of several Premier League sides watching Crystal Palace’s full-back Mitchell.

Mitchell has been starting to cement his place over Patrick van Aanholt in the starting eleven for his defensive work. The 21-year old has managed on average 2.9 clearances, 1.1 interceptions and 3.4 tackles a game this term (WhoScored). This has seen the young full-back receive a lot of support from fans already at such a young age, and they will be gutted if he were to leave the club.

Palace Journalist Matt Woosnam wrote an article on the player recently, calling him CPFC’s ‘silent assassin’ with the ‘eye of the tiger’ and clearly the club should be looking to keep hold of such a highly-rated player.
