A lot of the Crystal Palace fanbase are loving a tweet showing the highlights of the scenes when Jordan Ayew’s last-gasp winner against London rivals West Ham was nearly ruled out earlier this season.
Ayew managed to find the back of the net following a header from Martin Kelly, but the linesman believed that he was in an offside position, something which stopped Palace celebrations and caused the Hammers support to mock the South London side, via BBC Sport.
However in a dramatic turn of events, VAR would mean that the Palace faithful would be able to continue their celebrations, as it overturned the linesman’s decision and gave the goal.
This caused absolute chaos in the away end and stunned the London Stadium, whilst Hodgson’s men picked up another crucial three points on the road.
It is always good to win a London derby, but to do it in this kind of way was even sweeter for Eagles fans, especially as the side were 1-0 down after the 54th minute, courtesy of a goal from Sebastien Haller.
