With Manchester United currently in fifth place in the Premier League table, and looking unlikely to secure Champions League football for next season, their supporters here in the Tavern have been bemoaning their squad.
They believe that there are only a few players who are performing at an acceptable level on a consistent basis, and have suggested that their club have sold too many of their top players in recent years.
Following Danny Welbeck’s late winner for Arsenal against Leicester at the weekend, our landlord has been asking some of the Reds over by the fruit machines which of their recent departures that their club might regret the most, and the results were pretty conclusive!
Our United fans are still sobbing in the corner of the Tavern after their humiliating 2-1 defeat to lowly Sunderland on Saturday, and are hoping the club bring in Jose Mourinho ASAP!

Danny Welbeck
One player that United fans will regret selling the most is Danny Welbeck, perhaps because he didn’t leave the club on bad terms, unlike some of the other players in this list.
The 25-year old has been out for a few months with an injury, but returned to action with the Gunners at the weekend, scoring a crucial goal in the title race.
The England international is still in contention for a place in the England squad for Euro 2016 and is a proven goalscorer.
Paul Pogba
Another big mistake was failing to provide Paul Pogba with his wage demands, and instead allowing him to leave on a free transfer.
Since his move to Juventus, the 23-year old has won three consecutive Serie A titles and reached the Champions League final, whilst also obtaining the Golden Boy award.
United may regret the departure of the French powerhouse even more this summer, should his anticipated move to rivals Manchester City be completed.
Carlos Tevez
One United star who did make the move to City was Carlos Tevez, with the Argentine enjoying a successful spell at the Etihad Stadium.
The 32-year-old won the Premier League and FA Cup with City, as well as the Serie A twice, and the Supercoppa and Coppa Italia with Juventus, before returning to his boyhood club Boca Juniors.
He then won the Argentine domestic league and cup double in Argentina, making him the first footballer to win two domestic league and cup doubles in a single calendar year.
Gerard Pique
Spanish centre back Gerard Pique was an academy product at Barcelona and moved to United back in 2004, before returning to the Nou Camp four years later.
The 29-year old has since gone on to establish himself as one of the best central defenders in the world, something which has again attracted the interests of rivals Manchester City ahead of this summer transfer window.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Perhaps the biggest regret of United will be allowing Cristiano Ronaldo to depart to Real Madrid back in 2009 for a then-world record fee of £80 million.
The Portugal international captain has an impressive goalscoring record at both club and international level, and his physical strength and skilful approach would be incredibly useful at Old Trafford.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a return to the Reds for several seasons now, but a return still seem unlikely for the 3 time Ballon d’Or winner.
Javier Hernandez
Another attacking player who United fans will be missing is poacher Javier Hernandez.
The Mexican striker has one of the most prolific records in terms of goals-per-minute in the Premier League, whilst he has netted 22 goals in 26 games in all competitions this term for current side Bayer Leverkusen.
The 27-year old has recently won three consecutive Bundesliga Player of the Month awards in November and December 2015 and January 2016, serving to show United fans what they are missing out on.
