The Crystal Palace fans drinking at the Transfer Tavern tonight are still getting the rounds in over celebration of their new manager, Frank de Boer.

The former Dutch international, who has had stints with Ajax, the Netherlands national side and Inter Milan is set to take over a very capable side with the likes of Benteke and Cabaye in the ranks, but a side that only escaped relegation by seven points last season.

Whilst the senior squad struggled last season there is a pool of younger talent in the Crystal Palace ranks that could benefit the side from seeing their chance at first team football under de Boer.

With his history with Ajax, both as a player and a manager, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him focus on the youth set-up in South London.

With that being said, our landlord has pinpointed TWO wonderkids that de Boer should give a chance to next season….

Sullay Kaikai

The 21-year-old English winger seems to have slipped under the radar for many a football fan.

He’s young, English and so far, has done everything asked of him by the club over numerous successful loan spells to the likes of Cambridge, Shrewsbury and Brentford.

Despite this along with scoring on his senior debut for Palace in the League Cup a few years ago, he has struggled to break into the first team, making only a handful of appearances since the dramatic equaliser against Newcastle.

He was even re-called from his loan with Championship side, Brentford last season where he featured as a substitute in a 2-0 away win against fierce rivals, Brighton, and was only used once by Big Sam.

The two positions Kaikai can play, on the wings and up-front are, unfortunately for him, Palace’s strongest positions with Zaha, Townsend and Benteke taking up the roles but should de Boer give him a chance and he takes it, Palace could have a new star in their ranks.

Luke Dreher

Luke Dreher was named as Crystal Palace’s Under-18s Player of the Year for the 2015/16 season.

The 18-year-old central midfielder then went on to feature on the bench at Old Trafford against Manchester United for the senior squad but has had his development hampered since then due to injury.

Picking up a calf and hip-flexor injury means Dreher is yet to make his first-team debut and only returned this March for the final few U-23 games of the season.

Whilst so many injuries at such a young age can seriously damage the development of players like Dreher, he clearly has the potential to go far and if anyone can turn that potential into a Premier League talent, it’s Frank de Boer.
