Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted to hear reports that Jurgen Klopp has started his business at Anfield, making the first of what they hope will be many important signings.
ESPN state Liverpool have agreed a deal to bring David Wagner to Merseyside, with Klopp keen to reunite with the former Borussia Dortmund U23 boss, who recently left his position with the German giants.
In a statement following Wagner’s exit from Dortmund, he left the door open to a Premier League move:
‘Borussia Dortmund are an extraordinary club with fantastic fans. In spite of that I seek a new sporting challenge after a great time at Dortmund.’
Klopp has been linked with many of his former associates since taking over at Liverpool and it appears this will be his first addition, as he looks to build a backroom team that can lift the Reds back to the top of English football.
Liverpool supporters by the jukebox are delighted with the reports, believing Klopp should be given everything he requests from top to bottom from the Reds board.
