Many Derby County fans were loving Colin Kazim-Richards after his performance in the Rams’ 2-0 victory over Swansea City.
The veteran striker may be 34 years-old, but he showed that he could be vital for the club in their fight to stay in the Championship. He picked up a 7.6 rating, which was the joint-best on the pitch (SofaScore). He also won nine aerial duels, had 43 touches of the ball, and opened the scoring for the Rams in the fourth minute. One fan loved his performance as he called the player ‘exceptional’.
The goal means he has two in his last five games (Transfermarkt) and if he can go on a bit more of a consistent goal scoring run, Derby should find it easy to stay in the division.
The result puts Wayne Rooney’s side on 16 points (SofaScore) and despite them still being in the bottom three, they are level on points with Rotherham and Nottingham Forest, who sit above them and outside of the relegation zone.
Here is how Derby fans reacted to the performance of Kazim-Richards
I would let Colin Kazim Richards open day 24 of my advent calendar, that’s how much i adore him

Gota hold my hands up… When we signed Colin Kazim-Richards my heart sunk. Right now, I couldn’t imagine #dcfc playing without him leading the line. I shouldn’t have judged him on stats alone, he offers a lot more than goals. Just needed a chance and some faith #dcfcfans

First Derby game I’ve enjoyed watching all season. Bielik and Kazim-Richards superb all night. The defence looked solid too!

I think tonight proved once again, how much we are crying out for a striker next month when the window opens. Look at the contribution that Kazim – Richards gave Derby this evening. A goal, held the ball up and like the rest of his teammates, worked tirelessly.

Must say best Derby performance i’ve seen in a good few years , my opinion Kazim-Richards man of match. Great spine to the team Clarke, Bielik and Kazim-Richards, just need a very good striker and away we go.

The change of formation allowed swansea to get up the pitch but they lacked creativity and a presence up top, thought Kazim-Richards Bielik and Jason Knight were exceptional tonight, great work ethic and quality all over the pitch! Huge credit to Rooney and Rosenior 👏 #DerVSwa
