According to a report from The Athletic, doubts over a Derby County takeover are beginning to surface following news Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Bin Saquer Al-Nahyan, the could-be new owner, still owes a legal firm more than £500,000 after the failure to buy Newcastle United last year.
Journalist Matt Slater, writing for the Athletic, claims several industry sources have told the outlet that the takeover is stalling – coming amid a fresh update by the prospective Rams buyer himself who says the contrary.

Indeed, speaking out after weeks of trickling news, the Derby takeover is said to be still on and aims to be completed over Christmas – but The Athletic claim there are possible doubts given these legal bills.
Flocking to this report, many Derby fans voiced concern over the inside claim – going on to describe it as a potential ‘disaster’.

Clearer by the day in my opinion that the supposed takeover is dodgy at best. Dodgy in that it’s in danger of not happening and dodgy in that the so called new owners are sounding more dodgy by the day . Dark days on and off the pitch I’m afraid .

Anyone who believes a word of the tabloid click bait so called news reporting wants their head shaking. The athletic not for me how about a rebrand that lets customers understand the product better – the pathetic! Wonder if Ryan understands what a takeover is!
