Diogo Jota linked with move to Spurs

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be looking to pick up where they left off prior to the international break as they managed to book themselves a place at Wembley.

The Midlands club have defied expectations this season as they continue to edge closer towards securing a European spot, which would be a great achievement considering this is their first season back in the Premier League.

But, one worry for supporters is the future of one of their star men ahead of the summer.

What’s the news?

According to the Express, Spurs are interested in Wolves’ Diogo Jota.

The 22-year-old has been one of the stars of the show for Wolves in the current campaign, producing seven goals and five assists in all competitions up until this point, with his solo goal against Man United being a highlight.

It’s understood that Spurs are keeping close tabs on the Portuguese attacker.

Of course, Spurs have been desperately trying to find an understudy for Harry Kane and Mauricio Pochettino believes that Jota could be the man to fill that void.

The Verdict:

Many Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters will agree that keeping hold of a number of star players in the summer will be key if the club want to build and move forward. Indeed, Jota and Ruben Neves are two of the big-name players who have been influential at times this season, so keeping hold of them will be crucial.

Although, Spurs being linked with Jota has thrown his future into uncertainty as Spurs could potentially offer Champions League football and big wages, which could be the next step for the promising attacker.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans, do you think Jota would leave?
