The Transfer Tavern’s Arsenal patrons have been spending the last few months fretting over the future of midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Since arriving at the Emirates Stadium in summer 2013, the German international has continually divided opinion – some in the Tavern claiming he’s a misunderstood genius, others arguing he simply doesn’t turn up when Arsenal need him most.
Nonetheless, most Gunners fans appear loathed to lose the World Cup winning playmaker this summer, an incredibly plausible scenario with his contract yet to be renewed beyond the end of next season.

Earlier today, Ozil sent a heartfelt Birthday message to his former Real Madrid team-mate Sergio Ramos on Twitter, having spent three good years playing alongside him at the Bernabeu.
But desperate for the 28-year-old to stay on at the Emirates Stadium, a number of Arsenal fans hijacked the tweet, attempting to convince Ozil not to leave…
