Dream December: Rangers

Rangers will be looking to make the most of their recent run of positive form by piling the pressure on Celtic in the race for the Scottish Premiership title.

The Bluenoses managed to secure all three points against a helpless Livingston side at Ibrox last time out in the Scottish Premiership, which should fill Steven Gerrard with plenty of confidence ahead of tomorrow’s game against early-season title challengers, Hearts.

However, the Scottish club will already be thinking about the January transfer window having failed to ensure consistency at times in the current campaign.

Interestingly, the month of December will have a huge say on how Rangers’ season pans out as they have the opportunity to secure first position in the Scottish Premiership, but things could also go pear-shaped.

With that in mind, here is the dream December for the Bluenoses…

GET OLD FIRM REVENGE

Celtic and Rangers have been the two dominant forces in the Scottish Premiership this season, and are currently the two main contenders for the title.

Interestingly, the two Glasgow clubs have already faced off against each other in the current campaign, which resulted in Celtic completely dominating Steven Gerrard’s side at Celtic Park.

However, with the fierce rivals set to clash once again at the end of December, Rangers supporters would love nothing more than to see their side get revenge and earn the bragging rights.

OVERTAKE CELTIC IN RACE FOR TITLE

The Bluenoses found themselves floating around mid-table not so long ago as they struggled to identify a winning formula under Gerrard at Ibrox. But, times have changed as they now find themselves closing the gap on Celtic at the top of the table, with another slip-up from Brendan Rodgers’ side opening the door for Rangers to pounce.

So, if the Gers manage to ensure consistency throughout the month of December, they could find themselves in pole position to secure the Scottish Premiership title at the first time of asking under Gerrard.
