Last season was a rather spectacular one for Eddie Howe,  and he has become quite the cult hero here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

Bournemouth were at the bottom of most people’s league predictions heading into the 2015/16 season, yet Howe managed to steer the club to safety with weeks to spare in the Premier League.

Many are expecting an even better campaign this season, as Howe looks to establish the side as a Premier League outfit.

A large part of that process is of course bringing in new players, which Bournemouth have done so far; but it also involves selling players that might not be up to par anymore.

With that, here are THREE players that Eddie Howe needs to axe before transfer deadline day…..

Eunan O’Kane

Despite playing nearly 100 league games for Bournemouth, it looks like Eunan O’Kane could be leaving The Cherries this summer.

Bournemouth are reportedly listening to offers for the midfielder, with a host of Championship sides interested.

With Bournemouth reportedly keen to sell, this deal looks set in stone.

Tokelo Rantie

With a host of clubs reportedly interested in Rantie, and Bournemouth keen to sell; this is another deal that looks simply a formality – with the striker seemingly destined for a move away.

Rantie is reportedly receiving interest from Kaizer Chiefs, as well as a host of clubs in his native South Africa; and with a first team spot increasingly unlikely with the Cherries, this is a deal that makes sense for both parties.

Tyrone Mings (Loan)

This deal is more of a result of consequence rather than the fault of Mings; but it would make set for Mings to make a move as he continues his recovery from a long term injury that saw him miss the majority of last season.

It appears that Mings himself is in agreement, with the young defender reportedly keen to make a switch back to his ex-club Ipswich in order to get a full season under his belt and regain fitness

We’re sure the Cherries fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern would be disappointed to see him leave the club, but it could be best for the talented youngster’s future.
