Lots of Everton fans have been reacting to a report from the Evening Standard that transfer target Ismaila Sarr will apparently cost the Merseyside club more than £40m if they would like to sign the Watford ace in the summer window.
Indeed, the Toffees are said to have enquired about the possibility of signing Sarr as well as his teammate Abdoulaye Doucoure.

However, as per the Evening Standard, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will likely face strong competition from Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Wolves for his services.
Despite the Hornets suffering relegation from the Premier League to the Championship in the 2019/20 season, Sarr was fairly impressive, scoring six goals and providing a further six assists in 30 games in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
The Senegalese international would arguably be an upgrade on the current wingers at Goodison Park, having averaged more shots, dribbles and crosses than Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Bernard in the top flight in the 2019/20 campaign (via Whoscored).
At 22 years of age, Sarr arguably has a lot of potential as well, but the £40m-plus valuation is relatively high considering that he is now a Championship player and has only spent one year in England so far.

These Everton supporters seemed split on Twitter as to whether the Blues should bid that much for him:

I don’t know why we didn’t have a look at him last summer after the Zaha deal became too expensive.
