Everton: Fans slam Josh King link; Brighton and Newcastle among other clubs interested

Lots of Everton fans have been slamming the latest transfer link to Josh King as the Daily Mail have reported that the Merseyside club are monitoring the availability of the AFC Bournemouth man.

However, as per the outlet, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will face competition from AC Milan, SS Lazio, AS Roma, PSG, Brighton and Hove Albion and Newcastle United for his services.

The Cherries are also said to be wanting a transfer fee of around £25 million if they are to sell the former Manchester United player, who apparently would prefer a move back to the Premier League following his side’s relegation from the top flight to the EFL Championship in the 2019/20 season.

Given that the Toffees already have two capable strikers in the form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, who both scored a relatively impressive 13 goals each in England’s highest division in the last term, perhaps another forward is not needed, especially if King is going to cost the Blues £25 million.

The Norwegian international was also not the most prolific in the last campaign, scoring just six times in 27 games in all competitions on the south coast, according to Transfermarkt.

These members of the Goodison Park faithful slammed the news on Twitter:
