Everton: Fans would sign Bournemouth ace Josh King; Newcastle United and Benfica also interested

Lots of Everton fans would sign AFC Bournemouth ace Josh King as the Daily Mirror (via The Toffee Blues) have reported that the Merseyside club are competing with Newcastle United and SL Benfica for his services in the summer transfer window.

Indeed, King may well be available for a cut-price following the relegation of the Cherries from the Premier League to the EFL Championship.

Despite this, the Norwegian international had a relatively decent 2019/20 season, scoring six goals and making a further four assists in 26 games in the top flight, according to Transfermarkt.

Over the course of his career, King has been a fairly consistent goalscorer in England’s highest division, with two campaigns where he got into double figures and 48 strikes in total in 161 matches, as per the website.

The striker also averaged more key passes and dribbles than Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Moise Kean and Richalrison in the EPL in the last term (via Whoscored), suggesting that he could improve Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
