Some Everton fans have been buzzing over the latest transfer link to Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha as Football Insider have reported that the Merseyside club are willing to join the race for his signature in the summer window.
However, as per the outlet, Carlo Ancelotti’s team will not match their £70m bid for him last year, as the Eagles are now more ready to sell their asset given the financial troubles caused by the global pandemic.
Should Everton sign Zaha?
A source close to the Toffees has claimed that they will ask to be kept informed on his situation as they prepare to make an offer which may well smash their previous record, which was the £44.46m that they paid Swansea City for Icelandic midfield player Gylfi Sigurdsson back in 2017.
Indeed, Zaha is a player that could get fans off of their feet, averaging a quite impressive 4.3 dribbles and 1.6 shots per game in the top flight in the 2019/20 season, according to Whoscored.
Some Toffees fans are quite excited over the possibility of the 27-year old playing alongside Richarlison, with one Everton supporter claiming that ‘him and Richy would be lethal’, with another describing the prospect as ‘mouth-watering’.
The Brazilian international scored 15 goals and provided a further four assists in 41 matches in all competitions in 2019/20 (via Transfermarkt), and these numbers could well increase with Zaha in the side.
These Everton supporters on Twitter buzzed over the transfer links with the Ivory Coast international:

At the right price (or player exchange), would make us much better.
