Everton fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hoping they can bring in a new central defender as soon as possible with the start of the Premier League looming.
According to the Mirror, the Toffees are set to renew their interest in Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann after failing to sign him last summer.
The 29-year-old has picked up a lot of praise over the last few years at Selhurst Park and he’s now a target for Ronald Koeman, after they were stopped in their tracks in their attempts of signing Swansea captain Ashley Williams.
With Everton still pursuing a new leading centre-half, Everton are set to offer a deal within the region of £15 million after Dann signed a new five-year deal last summer, after rejecting a move to Goodison Park.
